Burundi : the ruling party defends its young people

Not all young people in the party are at fault, according to the secretary general of the ruling party. The Imbonerakure are very responsible and well prepared to replace those who are in power today, declared the head of the CNDD-FDD. INFO SOS Médias Burundi

During the presentation of the achievements of this party this Tuesday, Révérien Ndikuriyo invited the population to avoid globalization, because everyone must answer for their actions.

“It is not because a young person in our party has made a mistake that it must be attributed to the entire group. Moreover, even if a leader is always alongside his employees, they can behave like they want. It is the heritage of our ancestors. We must look for our replacements and it is among the Imbonerakure where they are found”, indicated Réverien Ndikuriyo.

During this press conference, he stressed that the Imbonerakure are the future leaders of the country and that the party must deploy all necessary means to prepare them.

For the former rebel, wherever these young people affiliated with the CNDD-FDD party are, they have a slogan to follow. They must behave well for the future.

He clarified that if one of them happens to be wrong, he must be punished individually and must not tarnish the honor of all the members.

“In the past we believed that the Imbonerakure were scoundrels, but since certain authorities, including ministers, recognize themselves as part of this group, the situation is starting to change”, he added.

He called on prosecutors and judicial police officers not to hesitate to arrest and bring to justice those who will be accused of causing harm.

Speaking on a completely different aspect, the leader of the ruling party affirmed that there are no young people affiliated to the ruling party present on the Congolese soil alongside the FDNB (National Defense Force of Burundi) as some think so.

He also advised the Imbonerakure to do sports away from the CNL party offices to avoid “gratuitous” accusations from members of this opposition party.
