Bujumbura: the husband of the sister of the opponent Aimé Magera arrested like his wife

The couple is allegedly detained in the custody of the commune of Kanyosha in the province of Bujumbura (western Burundi). The husband of Claudine Nshimirimana is reportedly prosecuted for having alerted the kidnapping of his wife by members of the Imbonerakure league.

Before disappearing this Wednesday morning, the head of household responded to a call from an Imbonerakure who said he had a summons reserved for him. The couple has six children, the youngest being 5 years old. They spent Wednesday night alone at home. Those close to the couple speak of “political persecution” and “child trauma”.
