North Kivu: deadly attack by the ADF in the village of Lesse/Bango

Two bodies were discovered on Monday in the forest of the Lesse/Bango village east of Eringeti, Beni territory in North Kivu, eastern DRC. They add up to six other bodies seen after the incursion of Ugandan rebels ADF (Allied Democratic Forces) in this region last Friday. INFO SOS Médias Burundi

Zawadi Maliro, President of Eringeti Civil Society, says the bodies were identified as of the inhabitants of the place, named Abdou and Gédéon.

They were discovered after a search carried out in the area by young volunteers after the incursion of ADF fighters last Friday. These two bodies are added to six others who were found the same day, making a provisional toll of eight people killed during this latest ADF attack in a mining square on the Eringeti-Kainama road in the territory of Beni.

The death toll is only provisional, the excavation continues in the bush of the mining square located in the territory of Beni, say local sources.
