Bugendana: a man killed with a machete

According to witnesses, it was around 8 p.m. Friday March 17, 2023 when Célestin Niyonzima called his brother-in-law Vital Mukeshimana at the Mutoyi trading center to share a drink. He even offered her a skewer. After Célestin Niyonzima put Vital Mukeshimana talked to him secretary aside, as if to give him a personal message.

“He immediately pulled a machete from his jacket and inflicted several blows on him.Vital Mukeshimana was seriously injured and then taken to Mutoyi hospital for first aid”, say customers who were in the same bar as the two brothers-in-law.

The information is confirmed by Charles Nahishakiye, the Mutoyi zone chief who says that the perpetrator of the crime vanished into the wild after committing the crime.

The administrative adds that Vital Mukeshimana succumbed to his injuries this Saturday, in the middle of the afternoon.

The motives for the crime are not yet known. But the Mutoyi zone chief thinks the murder was a hired man for his sister who had problems in couple with his husband.
