Mutaho : a man suspected of murder in detention
Fabrice Niyizigama, in his thirties, was arrested Tuesday, September 10 in the urban center of Mutaho. It is in the Gitega province in central Burundi. According to witnesses, he is prosecuted in a case of murder of a young woman. Her lifeless body was found in the village of Bigera in this district.

The body of the young woman has been identified, it is Noëlla Ndacayisaba, 28 years old.
According to residents of Mutaho, the deceased had just killed her child who was about to turn two, whom she then threw into a latrine.
According to a local police source, Fabrice Niyizigama is the biological father of this child who was killed. Which suggests that he took revenge by killing his mother.
Other suspects in the woman’s murder are being sought, according to an administration source.
