Mpanda : a body found in a palm grove

The body of Emmanuel Hakizimana was found in a palm grove located in the Musenyi zone. It is in the district of Mpanda in the province of Bubanza (western Burundi). A suspect has been arrested. INFO SOS Médias Burundi

Emmanuel Hakizimana (40 years old) worked as a sentry in the oil palm plantations on the Muhashi property, in the Musenyi zone.

His body was found lying in this plantation on Wednesday morning.

According to security sources, he was killed and strangled.

Ongoing investigations led to the arrest of his colleague. He is held in the Mpanda police station cell.
