Gitega : Agathon Rwasa criticizes hatred messages conveyed by the ruling partysecretary general

During the campaign of explaining the new geographical delimitation of Burundi this Sunday in Gitega (central Burundi), Agathon Rwasa deplored hatred messages uttered by the boss of the ruling party Réverien Ndikuriyo. Slogans were chanted in the streets of the political capital of Burundi.

“For twenty years, no achievement. They only steal. They confuse the party and the nation, no unity, no democracy. “It’s about giving jobs, only Imbonerakure are served. By 2025, we will drive them out”, such are the songs and slogans chanted by members of the CNL in Gitega.

In his speech, CNL Chairman Agathon Rwasa did not mince his words.

He pointed the finger at CNDD-FDD secretary general Réverien Ndikuriyo for his hate messages.

Agathon Rwasa spoke of sadism because “Mr. Ndikuriyo is happy that Burundians are languishing in misery in exile and he is threatening to strike out the CNL within two months”, he pointed out.

Opposition leader Agathon Rwasa also criticized political intolerance.

He notably cited a CNL official in Mwumba who was brutally killed. He also mentioned discoveries of bodies in several corners of the country, the demolition and the scribbling of CNL offices.

Agathon Rwassa also returned to the high cost of living in Burundi, linked in particular to poverty wages for State officials, while food prices continue to rise on the markets, to peaks never reached in Burundi.

The head of the CNL party also expressed concern about the cascading exits of the head of state Évariste Ndayishimiye outside the country but whose results do not follow.
