According to witnesses of the macabre discovery, the deceased had injuries on his throat.
“We think that Fabrice was murdered elsewhere and that his corpse was left there,” suspect residents of Yoba who spoke to SOS Médias Burundi.
According to Moïse Hatungimana, one of the local elected officials in the Yoba neighborhood, the circumstances of this young man’s death are not yet known. He confirmed the arrest of two suspects. They have been detained in the cells of the Gitega provincial police station since July 15.
They include Bonaventure Habonimana, 39 years old, employer of the young man found dead, and Célestin Niyonkuru, sentry in the neighborhood where the macabre discovery took place.
Bonaventure Habonimana owed Fabrice Nimpagaritse eight months of unpaid salaries, according to administration sources.
Fabrice Nimpagaritse worked as a shop salesman.
