According to witnesses, the man was attacked in the middle of the night while he was sleeping at the home of this woman, who was separated from her husband. The latter, driven by a desire for revenge, is said to have ordered the murder. He is said to have entrusted this mission to members of the CNDD-FDD party’s youth league, the Imbonerakure.
