Cankuzo: two bandits killed at the start of last weekend in Kigamba
Last Friday night, a group of four bandits armed with guns attacked the Gatanga trading center in the district of Kigamba in the province of Cankuzo (Eastern Burundi). It is 3 km from the border with Tanzania. Two of them were killed by the police. INFO SOS Médias Burundi
They looted several goods from six different shops. A sum of money, the amount of which is not yet known, was also stolen.
This information is confirmed by Anitha Nibogora, administrator of the district of Kigamba.
She says that “two bandits were killed by police bullets. The two bandits were killed on the spot”.
The local administration also reports that an AK-47 was seized.
The district administrator of Kigamba adds that “two other bandits who were part of this band ran away”. The police launched a manhunt.
