Bujumbura: heavy rain left one dead, several injured and several damages
This Wednesday afternoon, heavy rains mixed with violent winds hit different localities in the province of Bujumbura (western Burundi). A child died, several injured and material damages were recorded.

According to residents in Mukike commune, the roof of the Muzi II fundamental school was destroyed. Several children were injured.
The Rwibaga health district hospital dispatched its ambulance to evacuate the injured.
And at the Buhonga fundamental school, a child was swept away by the rainwater and was later found dead. The same situation occurred in the Kiyenzi area. The two localities lies in the commune of Kanyosha not far from the commercial city of Bujumbura.
Heavy rains mixed with strong winds also hit the Kiyenzi high school and the Gisovu primary school.
There were also injuries and the wind blew away the roofs of the classrooms.
Until the evening of this Wednesday, the grassroot administrators were still counting the damage caused by these torrential rains.
