He demanded a sum of one thousand Burundian francs (less than a dollar) which remained from the sale of his mobile phone.
“He came home and took a kitchen knife, stabbed Ezekiel savagely until the intestines came out…”, testify the neighbors.
After his crime, Jean Paul Muhire tried to flee. One of his cohabitants intervened to block his way, calling neighbors for help.
A person, furious at what had just happened at that time, took an iron bar and hit the suspect on the head.
“Seriously injured, he was transferred to a health center in Muzinda,” said a witness.
This Thursday morning at Mpanda General Hospital, Ezéchiel Nzoyikorera succumbed to his injuries.
The local police arrested three people: the alleged murderer, his cohabitant and the one who hit the murderer.
