Gitega : a corpse discovered
The lifeless body of Gloriose Ruranditse, aged 57, was found on Tuesday in a gutter. The incident took place in Muremera village in the district of Giheta in the province of Gitega (central Burundi). Her husband, the first suspect, was arrested by the police. INFO SOS Médias Burundi
According to witnesses on the scene, “the body was lying in a pool of blood”.
The information was confirmed by the local police. Circumstances of the woman’s death remain undetermined, according to the police. The husband of the deceased was arrested. He is held in the police cell in the district town center.
The Giheta police say they have prepared a file to be sent to the courts.
