Bujumbura: police killed three suspected thieves

Three unidentified men were killed by elements of the PNB (Burundi National Police) last Saturday. The incident took place in the Mutakura neighborhood, Cibitoke zone in the district of Ntahangwa in the north of the commercial city of Bujumbura. INFO SOS Médias Burundi

It is exactly at tenth Avenue in the Mutakura neighborhood where the incident took place, plot number 23. Residents say that three bandits broke into a household on th tenth Avenue.

“Occupants alerted police officers on patrol. They intervened and shot the three men who died on the spot”, said an administration source.

Bodies of the three alleged thieves were evacuated to the morgue of the Prince Régent Charles hospital in the center of the commercial capital.

Their identity has not yet been revealed. In Cibitoke zone and other areas north of Bujumbura, no family has reported the disappearance of a member since.
