The fight that caused Ruremesha’s death took place in a snack bar located in Mahama camp.
“He was beaten up so badly that blood spurted from his nose and mouth”, witnesses said.
Urgently evacuated to the “Save the Children” hospital in the Mahama II zone, he unfortunately succumbed the next day, our sources continue.
The body of the deceased was taken to the Kirehe district morgue, as health services in the camp do not have funeral services.
After the incident, the police took over the case. They made arrests as part of an investigation.
Relatives of the deceased demand that perpetrators of the murder be punished in accordance with the law.
Since the incident, police have been patrolling the crime area regularly. They fear revenge from Burundians on the Congolese.
