This decomposing body of a man was found on Monday morning. According to an administration source, the deceased was at least 30 years old. The place where he was discovered welcomes many passers-by, according to residents.
“This suggests that this man was killed elsewhere and his body brought to this place,” said one of the residents angrily. Furthermore, according to him, night patrols are regularly carried out there by the Imbonerakure (members of the CNDD-FDD youth league). All the residents who spoke to SOS Médias ĺBurundi demand a careful investigation to determine circumstances of this man’s death.
Rugombo administrator Gilbert Manirakiza says an investigation has been launched. He asks his subjects to help the police by providing them with all the information they need on this case.
More than 50 bodies have been discovered in Cibitoke province since the start of this year, according to a count by SOS Médias Burundi.
