Beni: eight ADF rebels killed
The Congolese army claims to have killed eight and captured five attackers of the ADF (Allied Democratic Forces) this Thursday in the village of Kisasu Ngandu. The locality lies in the territory of Beni in the province of North Kivu (eastern DRC). INFO SOS Médias Burundi

“This is the assessment of the clashes between our men and the ADF during the night of Thursday to Friday in the south of Karuruma, in the Bashu chiefdom. On the spot, 3 ADF terrorists were directly killed as five other corpses were discovered after the fighting,” said Captain Antony Mualushayi.
He indicates that an AK-47 and civilian radio communication devices were also seized.
“[…], after the defeat, the enemy took the direction of the Virunga National Park. We invite the population living near this world heritage to be vigilant”, he added.
“The ADF are currently under military pressure and are seeking revenge during this holiday season. Our specialized services have just dismantled a network of ADF terrorists who were preparing an attack against the city of Beni”, he concluded.
