According to the president of the Kanyaruchinya site, these people, a 44-year-old woman and seven children, died at Kanyaruchinya health center and CBCA Ndosho hospital.
He said that these victims suffered from several pathologies including diarrhea and malaria.
In addition to these illnesses, the difficult conditions faced by these displaced people are the cause of these deaths.

Joseph Makundi, coordinator of civil protection in the region indicates that all the provisions are already in place.
He also announced community consultations in Goma, Walikale, Masisi, Nyiragongo, Beni, Butembo and Lubero “to develop a multi-risk contingency plan with the support of UNDP and the provincial government of North Kivu”.
He also urged the M23 rebels to open a humanitarian corridor on the Goma-Rutshuru axis in order to “allow humanitarian workers to access different localities to assist vulnerable civilians”.

displaced.
According to new statistics, around 285,000 people have had to flee their households in Rutshuru territory, following hostilities between FARDC and M23 rebels since last October.
“The urgent needs are linked in particular to the lack of shelter, drinking water and latrines”, noted the minister.
