In its letter, the district council of Mukaza accuses the administrator of slowing down some development activities.

Among other charges, Mr. Sindayihebura refused the Council to rule on a matter of an association, “Bujumbura Cleanning Company” which collects wastes in this district.

The Council should assess the company which, according to members, is not performing its duties as it should, according to Annick Nsabimana, chairperson of the district council.

She also accuses the administrator of having prevented a meeting from being held on December 28, 2022. It should analyze the question of the behavior of leaders of Nyakabiga II, Mugoboka and Kiriri-Vugizo neighborhoods. The latter behaved badly in their duties, details the letter, specifying that Mr. Sindayihebura makes threats against members of the Council about the chiefs of neighborhoods.

“[…], activities of the district council seem to have stopped”, laments the district council, which also speaks of opaque management and organization of national holidays.

Council members ask the Mayor of Bujumbura City to follow this issue closely.

The administrator of Mukaza did not want to react on this subject.
