Rugombo : an alleged thief killed
The body of a man in his thirties was discovered in the town center of the district of Rugombo in the province of Cibitoke (northwest Burundi) this Sunday morning. Four suspects were arrested. INFO SOS Médias Burundi
According to a police source, the deceased is a renowned burglar who is well known in the region. He was lynched while trying to rob household items in Munyika II village.
“His body was covered with several wounds, which suggests that he suffered blows from sticks and clubs before dying,” residents say.
This information is confirmed by Gilbert Manirakiza, district administrator of Rugombo, who specifies that four people were arrested in this case.
