Ryansoro: a dead body spotted
The body of Donatien Nkurunziza, roughly 25 years, was found on Tuesday October 25, 2022 in a small bush, near a road on Mahwa village in the commune of Ryansoro in the province of Gitega (Central Burundi).The information is confirmed by one of the village officials. INFO SOS Médias Burundi
According to a source in Mahwa, Donatien was stabbed to death. “He was probably murdered. His body had injuries at the head.We believe he would have been killed somewhere else and then dropped there,” our source said.
Cassien Ngendakumana, deputy chief of Mahwa village confirms the information adding the motives for the murder is still not known.Donatien Nkurunziza worked as a laborer in a Chinese company which is paving the road Bururi (South) – Gitega, first section Bururi – Mahwa.
He was from the commune of Kayokwe in the province of Mwaro (Center). According to a village official, a suspect has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation.
At the end of last week, two other corpses, of a woman and a man were found in the neighborhoods of Nyabututsi and Shatanya in the city of Gitega.
