Beni : a dozen farmers killed in a new rebel attack in Oïcha

At least nine bodies were put at the morgue of the Oicha General Referral Hospital in the afternoon of Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
These are bodies of civilians killed by rebels who are said to be from the ADF, the morning of this same Wednesday at the level of Kongé, a rural area located about 6 kilometers northwest of Oïcha, town center of the territory of Beni in North Kivu, in the east of the DRC.
“These farmers were surprised, many in the middle of farming activities before being killed with bladed weapons”, says a local source.
Medical sources contacted by Radio-Television Rwanzururu/Beni also indicate that two other people were injured.
It was young volunteers from the region who went to the area to recover bodies, local sources report, adding that searches for other bodies are continuing.
