Matana: 12 individuals arrested after the death of a child

The body of Bienvenue Nshimirimana (4 years old) was found this Sunday in a forest at Matana. It is in the commune of Matana, Bururi province (southern Burundi). At least 12 of the child parent’s neighbors were arrested by local police. INFO SOS Médias Burundi

The assassins of Bienvenue Nshimirimana cut out his tongue, witnesses noted. His body was found by residents in a wooded area in Nkero locality, Matana commune, Bururi province in the south of Burundi.

The child disappeared on January 6, according to police sources.

Local police arrested 12 people. The suspects are neighbors of the victim, and are held in a police cell in Matana. Until now, local authorities have not yet established the motives for this murder.
